On June 13th, TURBOTECNICA participated in the 73rd Ordinary Assembly of AMAFOND members. To date, there are a total of 92 members distributed between the Machines and Installations Group and the Products and Services Group.
During the meeting, the issues concerning the internalisation (participation in different trade fairs, the exchange and cooperation agreement signed between AMAFOND and the Russian Aluminum Association) and the collaborative relationships with other sector associations were analyzed.
Particular emphasis was placed on the world market situation and possible future scenarios. It is a common opinion that, after the positive start of 2018, in 2019 world growth will slow down mainly due to political and monetary tensions and the war of duties.
As far as Italy is concerned, it has been shown that the industrial production of all sectors (automotive, foundry, machine tools) is slowing down, reflecting the progress of the global economy. On the other hand, the specific AMAFOND sector (machines and auxiliary products for the foundry) closed 2018 with a growing turnover both in the light alloys and in the ferrous metals sector.
